MISHAWAKA Louis J. Kiskowski, 68, of West Catalpa Street, died after an illness at 6:43 a.m. today in his home.

Mr. Kiskowski retired in 1984 from South Bend Freight Lines after 25 years of service as maintenance supervisor. He was born Sept. 12, 1927, in Fort Wayne and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On Nov. 26, 1947, in South Bend, he married M. Helen Power. She survives with three daughters, Dr. Patricia Jordan and Katherine Jarvis, both of South Bend, and Marilyn Skaalerud of Lebanon, Tenn.; a son, Col. William J. of Utah; and eight grandchildren.

A son, Robert L., died in 1974.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a former member of Moose Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 284.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place. Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. McGann Funeral Home is of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
