SOUTH BEND Walter F. Jaske Jr., 66, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Sunday in Manitee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, after an illness.

Mr. Jaske retired as a research manager for Chrysler Corp. after 24 years. He was born June 5, 1927, in South Bend, and moved to Florida in 1993, going there from Farmington, Mich.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Jaske of Bradenton; two daughters, Karla A. Winnie of Springfield, Mo., and Karen D. Hilliard of Fairview Heights, Ill.; two sons, Kim D. of Farmington and Kirk A. of Royal Oak, Mich.; and six grandchildren.

He was a graduate Indiana University and member of Masonic Lodge 151, Farmington, Mich., was a scout leader Scouts of America, past president of South Bend Jaycees, and was a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Brown & Sons Trust 100 Funeral Home, Bradenton. Additional services and burial will be at a later date in Farmington.
