Dolores Lancaster Nov. 24, 1926 - Aug. 23, 2014 MISHAWAKA - Dolores Irene Lancaster, 87, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday morning, August 23, 2014, in her home. Dolores was born November 24, 1926 in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Coryell) Gulatta.

She grew up in Mishawaka and South Bend and was a graduate of South Bend Central High School.

Dolores married Alvin Lancaster on November 2, 1947. The couple made Mishawaka their home. Dolores was employed for 24 years at Wheelabrator-Frye Corporation. She was a member of Apostolic Temple in South Bend. Over the years Dolores enjoyed vegetable gardening, baking cookies and needle work. In later years she liked making crafts, particularly with sea shells. Dolores and Alvin wintered in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, for several years.

Dolores is survived by her husband of over 66 years, Alvin; two children, Larry Lancaster and Susan Lancaster; a brother, Victor Gulatta; a sister, Marjorie Hall; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Garner.

Services honoring Dolores' life will be held Wednesday at 11 am in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Christopher Rowe officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 11 am in the funeral home. An online guest book is available at www.goethalswells.com.
