INDIANAPOLIS - Meredith L. Donoho, 85, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2013.
He was born in New Carlisle, IN, on Sept. 27, 1927, to Paul & Ida Donoho. He was the eldest of five children raised in South Bend, IN. He graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1945. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and was stationed at Clark Air Base in the Philippines at the end of World War II. He became the first member of his family to graduate from college when he received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue in 1951. Upon graduation, he married Lorie Jannsen on June 9, 1951. Meredith traveled the world extensively. He was involved in major construction projects throughout the world. He also built train tables, doll houses and go-karts for his children and grandchildren. He loved home building projects. His career took him and his family on a journey to many locations including France, Haiti, Puerto Rico, New Jersey, Liberia, Africa, Overland Park, Kansas, Munster, IN, Grand Rapids, MI, Scottsdale, AZ, and Indianapolis, IN.

 

Meredith is survived by his ex-wife, Lorie Jannsen Stapler of Indianapolis; his four children and their spouses, Bruce (Julie) Donoho of Mission Viejo, CA, Todd (Paula) Donoho of Columbia, MO, Lorie Lee (Jim) Andrews of Carmel, IN, Carl (Shawn) Donoho of Castle Rock, Co; 10 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren; his brother, Merrill (Marilyn) Donoho of Ft. Meyers, FL; and sister, Marcia (Al) Bolin of Carmel, IN. Meredith was preceded in death by his brother, Byron, and sister, Carolyn.
