Charles Scherman Dolk

CHARLES S. DOLK, 89, died on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Born Feb. 28, 1928, in South Bend, Ind., he was the son of Helen S. and Irvin S. Dolk. He graduated from Yale University in 1949 and served in the U.S. Navy. Chuck worked in the field of consumer electronics, and eventually became VP of Product Development at Magnavox, frequently travelling to Japan. Chuck enjoyed golf, photography, reading, and spending time with his golden retrievers. He was a long-time member of Trinity English Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his children, Katherine Dolk-Ellis (Dennis McCarty), Julie E. (Larry) High, Mary P. Dolk, and David P. (Stefanie) Dolk; former wife, Virginia P. Dolk; seven grandchildren, Lindsay, Ashley, Jeff, Ben, Molly, Kaitlyn and Megan; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Joan Robinson. A graveside service will be held at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend.
