Lucille (White) Regan

Lucille Regan, 83, of South Bend, died peacefully on Friday, Oct.20.Lucille (Sue) was born September 24, 1923, in South Bend to George W. and Pearl (Claxton) White. On October 19, 1945, she married Thomas C. Regan who preceded her in death on July 16, 1967. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy, on August 16, 2006.
Lucille is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (John) Dostal of Paris, Maine, Mary (Mark) Giffen of Dayton, Ohio, and Cecilia (James) Brom of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and a son, Thomas C. Regan Jr. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, John (Dana) Dostal of Saco, Maine, Andy (Heidi) Dostal of Jericho, Vt., Paul Singleton of Dayton, Ohio, Scott Singleton of Nashville, Tenn., Brent (Julie) Giffen of Dayton, Ohio and Chad (Theresa) Giffen of Xena, Ohio; Matt Brom of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kevin Brom of Gilbert, Ariz. She is also survived by 11 great- great-grandchildren.
After her husband’s death in 1967, Lucille dedicated her life to her two special-needs children. She was very involved in St.Joseph County Special Olympics, Logan Center and Logan Industries
The family will receive friends at the McGann-Hay, University Chapel, Edison Road today, October 23 from 4 to 8 p.m.with the Rosary being said at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 24 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend.Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to St.Joseph County Special Olympics
