Harvey H. Martens

Harvey H. Martens, 75, of 213 White St., Culver, Ind., passed away from lung cancer at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at his home. Mr Martens was born to William L. and Lillian Martens on Sept. 113. 1921, in Chicago, III.

He married Delores J. Greiner on Oct. 20, 1945, in Midland, Mich. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Delores; a son, Kim (Shirleen) Martens of Argos. Ind.; four daughters, Diane (Don) Kotouc of Shawnee, Kan., Susan (Donald) Allen of South Bend. Ind., Marilyn (Patrick) Ryan of Bloomington. Ind. and Denise (Kip) Ellis of Leesburg. Ind.; a brother, William Martens of Rayrnoore. Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Martens owned a fruit and vegetable stand at St. Rd. 10 and Maple Road in Argos for 42 years. He was a resident of Argos since 1953, until he retired and moved to Culver.

A cremation will take place. A memorial service will be at 11 am., Saturday, Nov. 23, at the St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church in Culver, with Father Jeffrey Largent officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Hospice or the National Multiple Sclerosis Association.
