Violet M. Kish Ernsberger

Violet M. Ernsberger, age 83, of Granger, IN passed away at 12:30PM Friday at
Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. She was born on October 8, 1923 to the late
Frank and Mary (Toth) Kish, she lived in this area all her life. Violet
graduated from Central High School in 1941, where she was a cheerleader under
Coach Wooden. On December 5, 1942, she married Norman F. Ernsberger, in South
Bend, who survives.

Violet worked briefly for Studebaker Corporation while Norman served overseas,
and was a loving homemaker and mother after his return. She was a devoted
lifetime parishioner at Little Flower Catholic Church, and was active in her
bridge club and bowling league. Violet was a member of the Christ Child Society,
and volunteered extensively at local nursing homes.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lori (Barry) Sims of Casnovia, MI; a son, Craig
(Tina) Ernsberger of Granger, IN; and five grandchildren, Shawn, Ashley and
Adrianna Shippy, and Daniel and Sandra Ernsberger. One granddaughter, Allison
Shippy preceded in death.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at Little Flower Catholic
Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends
may visit from 4-8PM Monday at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave,
South Bend and one hour prior to services at the church.
