Dorothy "Dottie" (Hayden) Ebling

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Market Street Presbyterian Church, for Dorothy (Dottie) H. Ebling, 67, of Lima. She died at 5:05 a.m. Monday at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of Howard Hyde Hayden and Mary Elizabeth Adams. On June 24, 1945, she married William Henry Ebling, who survives. Mrs.
Ebling was a homemaker and had lived in Lima since 1946. She attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, the Local Alumni Chapter, Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star Trinity Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, and Market Street Presbyterian Church, where she was past superintendent of the church school. She had served on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society and initiated the Local Reach for Recovery Program.
Other survivors include three daughters, William (Carol) Mack, and Mrs. Timothy (Lori) Purdy, both of Lima, and Mrs. Mark (Leslie) Sand of Hinsdale, Ill.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, B. B. (Louise) Buckingham of Lima.
Rev. Richard Sheffield will officiate the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trust Fund of Market Street Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
