Sarah G. (Gambill) Echternach

SARAH G. ECHTERNACH Born July 18, 1923, entered into eternal rest on January 24, 2000. "Sarah" as we all called her, is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Mike (Linda) McGinley, Pat (Doris) McGinley, Tim (Sarah) McGinley; daughters, Ruth Ann (Donald) Laws, Mary Lou Echternach, Marty Broksas; sister, Mary (Forrest) Cook; 29 grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Sarah graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a Bachelors degree in education, specializing in speech therapy. She was an outstanding member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Beta Sigma Phi sororities. She brought her family to Tucson in 1955. She was employed as an Accounting Supervisor at the Hughes Federal Credit Union and retired after 17 years.: Her retirement was spent being "Nana" to her grandchildren, and just "Sarah" to her many friends, especially those at the Tuesday Morning Desert Dove Ceramics Club.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 28, at $1:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway
