Wanda M. (Stanley) Lamirand

Funeral services for Wanda M. Lamirand, 70, of 2574 Gene's Circle, Niles, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Halbritter Funeral Home with the Rev. John H. Arnold of Huntly Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery in South Bend, Ind. Lamirand died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday at Pawatting Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 2, 1923, in Herrin, Ill., she was a resident of the Niles area since 1971, coming from Mishawaka. She was the former switchboard operator at the Studebaker Co. and Kaiser Jeep in South Bend.

On April 11, 1942, in South Bend, she married John C. Lamirand, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, John A. Lamirand of Middlebury, Ind., and Charles A. Lamirand of Niles; a daughter, Nancy C. Vise of Niles and 10 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Halbritter Funeral Home.
