Thornton P. Jewell

Thornton P. Jewell Age 86, of Newark, DE. passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, September 12, 2008. Born in Kentucky, Thornton is the son of the late Benjamin Thornton and Lochie Brown Jewell. Mr.

Je well worked as a Laboratory Technician for ICI. Mr. Jewell was a car enthusiast who enjoyed traveling. He retired in 1981 and occupied his retired years seeking knowledge. His wife, Dolly (McCall) Jewell predeceased him in 1976.

Thornton is also ceased by only brother, Fletcher B. Jewell. Mr. Jewell will be sadly missed by his daughters and sons-in law, Dianne J. and Alfred DiEmedio, of Elkton, MD and Linda J.

and Rusty Husar of San Diego, CA.; 6 grandchildren and their spouses, Sunny and Jason Antonio, Newark, DE, Gregory DiEmedio, of Cape thew Sutton, Wilmington, Coral, FL, Aubrey, and MatDE, Lindsay and Matthew Berkheiser of Cochranville, PA, Brette A. Husar of Villanova, PA and Alexis N. Husar of San Diego, CA. Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren, Domenick, Maya and Rowan.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, at the MEALEY FUNERAL HOME, Limestone and Milltown Roads where family and friends may call beginning at 10 am, where funeral services will begin at 11 am. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.
