Jane (Harper) Andres

Jane Andres, 64, died Tuesday at her residence after a long illness. Mrs. Andres was born in Indianapolis, Ind., Jan. 16, 1923, to Charles and Alma Harper. She spent her childhood in Lansing, Mich., and South Bend, Ind. Mrs. Andres and her family came to Napa in 1971 where they owned and operated the Carriage Trade Car Wash. They later sold their business and moved to Fresno, returning to Napa a while later.

At one time, they were residents Orinda, where she was a member of the Children's Home Society. Mrs. Andres was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Napa.

She is survived by her husband, Charles (Mack) of Napa; one son, Thomas M. of Napa; two daughters, Laurie A. Bustamante of Napa and Nancy A. Weaver of Bend, Ore.; her mother, Alma Harper of Napa; one brother, Charles M. Harper of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Carol H. Lyman of Northbrook, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass of Christian burial on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Napa, with Rev. Vincent Fleming officiating. Interment will be private. The rosary will be recited Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Claffey an and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St. The family suggests donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 561 Pilgrim Drive, Foster City.
