DECATUR Services for Kathleen P. Stafford, 70. of 53506 Gards Prairie Road, who died at 4:15 a.m. Thursday in Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo, after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. EDT Saturday in Romig Funeral Home, Marcellus. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, where members of Wood-Hill American Legion Post 39 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 4054 will conduct military services. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marcellus Ambulance Service.

Mrs. Stafford was a secretary. She was born July 15, 1921, in South Bend. She moved to Marcellus 42 years ago

On June 18, 1949, in South Bend, as Kathleen Bella, she married Burton C. Stafford. He survives with two stepbrothers. Eugene Chrzanowski of San Leandro, Calf., and Thomas D Chrzanowski of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Central High School, South Bend; a Coast Guard veteran of World War II; a member of American Legion, serving as adjutant; and a former member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, South Bend.
