Vena C. (Brodbeck) Lambka

SOUTH BEND - Vena C. Lambka, 69, of North Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died at 5:46 a.m. Sunday in the Venice, Fla., home of her daughter, after an illness. In 1977, she retired from Robertson's Department Store, and in 1983, she retired from the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. Mrs. Lambka was born April 5, 1921, in South Bend and moved to Florida in 1984.
On June 29, 1941, in South Bend, she married Ronald H. Lambka. He survives, with three daughters, Connie J. Wilson of Bremen, Wendy Blohm of Plymouth, Mich., and Lori Moreland of Venice; four grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Christen of Denver, Colo., and a brother, Marshall Brodbeck of Mishawaka.
She was a member of Ridgedale Presbyterian Church, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2, the Ladies of the Elks Post 1288 of Fort Myers, Fla. and was a charter member of the Social Order of Beauchant. Burial will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. A memorial service, conducted by Order of Eastern Star Chapter 2, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
