Shirley A. Sieradzki, 84, of South Bend, passed away during the early morning hours of Friday, August 7th in her residence with her loving family by her side.

Shirley was born in South Bend on October 21, 1935 to Stephen and Josephine (Siderits) Radecki. In May, 1957, in South Bend, she married the love of her life, Leonard Sieradzki, he preceded her in death on December 13, 2002. Shirley worked for Cira’s Grocery Store in South Bend, for twenty years before retiring from AT&T where she was a phone operator. She enjoyed keeping a diary, designing floral arrangements and cooking, but her greatest joy was being in the company of family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral of South Bend, and the Ladies Auxiliary FOP Lodge 36.

Shirley is survived by her loving children: Sharon Sieradzki of Sarasota, FL, Michelle (Steve) Ware of Granger, Jeffrey (Nita) Sieradzki of South Bend and Michael (Shelia) Sieradzki. She was the proud grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 12. Shirley is also survived by her brother, Edward (Pat) Siderits of South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughters, Denise and Dawn, and sister, Katherine Sieradzki.

A private Celebration of Life will be held and she will be laid to rest next to her husband in the St. Joseph Cemetery in South Bend. Hanley and Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and extend their deepest sympathy to all of Shirley’s family.
