          Patricia Thompson passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024, at the age of 88. Patricia was born on August 1, 1936, to Raymond Lytle and Henrietta (Markiewicz) Lytle, in South Bend, Indiana.  Patricia lived a full and vibrant life. Her unwavering kindness and generosity were the hallmarks of her character.

            Patricia was a proud graduate of Central High School, Class of 1954, and went on to establish a fulfilling career as a pharmacy technician. She dedicated several years of service and retired from Merrill Pharmacy.

            Patricia married Raymond Thompson on June 9, 1956, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana. This union was the foundation of a loving and enduring partnership that enriched both their lives and the lives of their family. Patricia and Raymond built a home filled with warmth and affection.

            With a sharp wit and a love for the simple pleasures in life, Patricia was an avid fan of "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune," often outshining contestants from the comfort of her home. She had a penchant for crossword puzzles, which kept her mind as agile as her sense of humor.

            Surviving are children, Nancy Ann (Wayne) Conrad of South Bend, Raymond LeRoy (Rebecca) Thompson Sr. of South Bend and Jean Marie (Thomas) Litwicki of Plymouth; eight grandchildren, Raymond LeRoy Thompson Jr., Jeremy P (Stephanie) Litwicki, Heather N. (Kevin) Owen, Eric P. (Hillary) Thompson, Caitlin N. Conrad, Sara (Henry) Barrier, Molly Conrad and T. J. Litwicki; 16 great grandchildren. Patricia also leaves behind her adoring brother Leroy Lytle and her devoted sister Marcia Coleman. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Lytle. Her bond with her sister-in-law and best friend, Joan Lytle, was unparalleled and filled with countless cherished moments.

            As we bid farewell, we celebrate the remarkable life of Patricia Thompson, a woman who inspired with her joyfulness and whose memory will forever be cherished by all those who were blessed to know her.

            According to Patricia’s wishes there will be no formal services held at this time. If you would like to make a contribution in memory of Patricia the family asks that donations be made to River Bend Cancer services, 3516 E Jefferson Blvd, South Bend.
