Glenn A. Huston, Jr., 63, of Lincoln Way West, South Bend, Ind., died on Saturday morning, Feb. 6, in his residence. He was born on July 26, 1935, in South Bend, to Catherine (Major) and Glenn Huston, Sr., both of whom preceded him in death. On Oct. 26, 1968, in South Bend, he married Carolyn Bennett, who survives. He is also survived by a sister, Irene Hudak of South Bend; four nieces, Karyn Walker, Kristi Hudak and Tammy Bennett, all of South Bend, and Kimberly Strong of Knoxville, Tenn.; and by a nephew, Christopher Bennett of South Bend.
Mr. Huston was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #150. He was a 50-year member of the Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club and was also a member of the Crumstown Conservation Club. He was on the advisory board for Turn-in-Poachers for the State of Indiana for 23 years. Services for Mr. Huston will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana, Inc., 911 E. 86th Street, Suite #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
