EUGENE A. KURDYS PINELLAS PARK, FL.
Formerly of South Bend/Chesterton, IN passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 in St. Petersburgh, FL. He was born March 7, 1937 in South Bend to Alex and Gladys (Roszwicz) Kurdys.

He graduated from Central High School in 1955. He served in the United States Army from 1955-1959.

On January 7, 1959, he married Jacqueline Olden who preceded him in death. In 1983 he married Valerie Gibson, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Dennis (Melissa) Kurdys of St. Petersburg, FL, James (Lisa) Kurdys of Chesterton, IN, and Shari Deal of South Bend, In; 11 grandchildren, Paul Kurdys, Anthony Kurdys, Carlissa Jacobs, Amber Jacobs, Casey Kurdys, Tyler Deal, Mikey Johnson, Jakob Kurdys, Meghan Kurdys, Abby Kurdys and Kyle Kurdys; 3 great grandchildren, Gabriella Hornberger, Jeremy Huffman and Aurelia Kurdys. Also, Eugene is survived by one sister, Debbie (Warren) Eger of South Bend, IN; one brother, Ernest Kurdys of Dowagiac, MI. and family friend Jeff Mathis. He is also survived by three nieces and their families.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 415 Brookfield, South Bend, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692
