George Olai Peterson graduated from Georgetown University cum laude with a degree in Economics ... he graduated from the University of Virginia and has won cases before both the U.S. Supreme Court and the Virginia Supreme Court
His law firm, Peterson Saylor, is located in Fairfax, Va.
 
He has three sons -- Erik, Michael Magnus Peterson and Thomas Thor Peterson

John E. Peterson, Central Class of 1954, Served in U.S. Army in San Juan, P.R. from 1956-59 editing the Antilles Hurricane for troops in Puerto Rico and Panama Canal Zone. Graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with degree in Journalism and Soviet Government and Politics. First journalism job at Chicago Tribune sports desk, followed by stints as a sorts writer at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and Dayton News before joining Detroit News as a general assignment reporter. Covered Detroit riots and riots in Ann Arbor, Cleveland, Chicago and Washington before being promoted to Detroit News, Washington Bureau. Elected to seven terms of the National Press Club's Board of Governors. Served as Manager of its Newsmaker Luncheon Series twice. Left Journalism in 1992 to join Fleshman-Hillard in St. Louis and headed up the press relations segment of the Presidential Debate between George Bush, Bill Clinton and Ross Perot Returned to the Washington area as Senior Vice President of McGinn and Company in Arlington, Va. .. Three later joined APCO Worldwide in D.C and served for 10 years before founding Peterson Pro Media. Provided weekly Pro & Cons on national issues that was distributed over the Knight-Ridder, McClatchey and Chicago Tribune wire services for 12 years. Retired in 2018 and now runs Peterson Pro Media from home in Bethesda, MD Has two sons, both graduates of the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. The oldest, John Olaf is a world-ranked naturalist in Nevada. The youngest, George Olai is a lawyer in Fairfax, Va. Enjoy getting your columns, Jim. Served in the U.S. Army on David's Island in Long Island Sound off Rye, New York and at a now defunct Army base in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Began my professional journalism career on the Night Sports Desk of the Chicago Tribune, was a sports writer for the Honolulu Star-Advertiser and Dayton Daily News, before joining The Detroit News as a general assignment report in time for to cover the 1968 riot.

Was sent to the News' Washington, DC Bureau in 1976.  Member of the National Press Club Board for of Governors for 7 years and headed it Luncheon Speakers Committee in 1983 setting a record with 71 luncheons, including ones for heads of seven different nations and celebrities like Arthur Ashe, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 
Sens. Bill Bradley (D-NJ) and John Glenn, (D-OH) Other luncheon speakers included Sally Ride, Vanessa Williams, Ariel Sharon and Lee Iacocca.

Best friends in high school included Mickey O'Donnell, Otis Lake and John Stancatti
