NANCY (COLE) WESOLOWSKI

SOUTH BEND - Nancy Cole Wesolowski, 79, of South Bend, died Friday, January 20, 2012, in Hospice House of South Bend following a lengthy illness. She was born February 19, 1932, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Arlene (Esch) and Bradford D. Cole, and had lived in South Bend since 1946, coming from Cleveland. On October 10, 1957, in South Bend, as Nancy Cole, she married Ervin J. Wesolowski, who preceded her in death in 1984.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn "Katie" Wesolowski of South Bend and Martha "Martie" Coveney (Martin) of Geneva, IL; two grandsons, Michael and Patrick Coveney, both of Geneva; sister and friend, Marcia Towne of South Bend; brother-in-law, Raymond Wesolowski; aunt, Anne Esch of South Bend; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy graduated from the former South Bend Central High School in 1950 and attended St. Mary's College. She retired as an administrative assistant from the University of Notre Dame in 1993 after 26 years service. She enjoyed writing, baking pies, and the antiques and collectibles business. She especially enjoyed vacationing each summer with family in Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., with Rev. James W. Campbell officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend. The family will greet friends in the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
