Clifford G. Buck
June 29, 1934 ~ November 15, 2025 (age 91)
Clifford Gaylen Buck, 91, of South Bend, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 14th, at home with his loving family by his side.
Cliff was born on June 29, 1934 in South Bend to the late Merle F. and Lois B. (Carter) Buck. He was a lifelong Michiana resident. After graduating high school, he married the love of his life Addie R. Berry. They were married in South Bend on November 13, 1954. Cliff retired after 36 years of service from Allied Signal in South Bend. He was a dedicated and valiant leader at Ardmore Brethren Church, serving with unwavering commitment, and always stepping forward in every way the Lord called him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards with friends or heading out for a round of golf. Cliff loved the outdoors and tending to his garden, although his greatest joy came from spending time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife of seventy-one years, Addie Buck, along with his loving daughter, Bonnie (Clifford) Campbell of South Bend, and his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Swofford of Helena, Montana. He was the proud grandfather to Theresa Lynn of South Bend, the great grandfather of 8, Caitlyn, Joselyn, Bradon, Brooklyn, Bella, Brendon, Bryce, and Braxxon, and the great-great grandfather of Legacy Rose. Cliff is also survived by his sister, Barbara (David) Warstler of Gurnee, Illinois, his brothers, Kenneth Buck of Sarasota, Florida, and Ronald (Hope) Buck of South Bend, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Lois, his son, Dennis L. Buck, a sister, Shirley Sparks, and his brother Merle F. Buck, Jr.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 19th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home, 23421 State Road 23, and again for one hour prior to the service. A funeral service honoring Clifford’s life will be held on Thursday, November 20th, at 11:00 a.m., with an additional hour of visitation beforehand, at Ardmore Brethren Church, 23370 Ardmore Trail, South Bend. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made in Clifford’s name to Ardmore Brethren Church or Center for Hospice Care.
Clifford will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and community.
