GRANGER - Jacqueline Marie Bark, 90, of Granger, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in her residence. She was born on August 19, 1927, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late John and Mary (Chapleau) Doyle. On September 17, 1949, as Jacqueline Marie Doyle, she married James Floyd Bark, who preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Doyle. Jacqueline is survived by her brother, James Doyle of Joliet, Illinois. She also is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Juan) Garcia of Eagle Pass, Texas, Anne Bark (Jorge) Squier of Houston, Texas, and Nancy Reyes of Sewell, New Jersey; two sons, James Floyd Bark III and William P. Bark, both of Granger, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Ana T. Garcia, Cristina Ruiz, Armando Garcia, Alexander Squier, Patrick Squier, Daniel, Paul and Adrian Reyes; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Moreno, Nathan Moreno, Zoe Ruiz, Tyler Reyes and Caytlin Reyes. Jacqueline graduated from South Bend Central High School. She then graduated from St. Mary's University in 1949, with a B.A. in biology and art. She and her husband, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, lived in Midland, Michigan, for many years. Jacqueline was a gourmet cook, enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and shopping for antiques. She and her husband were also wonderful dancers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until noon on Saturday, November 25, 2017, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana.
