MISHAWAKA- - Jerry D. Quam, 62, of West LaSalle Avenue, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday in his home after an illness. Mr. Quam was a former employee of Wheel Horse Manufacturing Co., South Bend, and a former engineer for K & F Printing Granger. He was born Oct. 6, 1933, in Niles.

On July 4, 1953, in 'South Bend, he married Nancy Brockway. She survives with a daughter, Kris McMenamin of Monroe, Conn.; three sons, Kirk and Keith, both of Mishawaka, and Ken of Griffin, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Karen Thornton of South Bend.

He was a member and an usher of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and a graduate of Central High School, South Bend, and attended Indiana University, Purdue University, and Waylen Academy, Beaver Dam, Wis.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions be made to Visiting Nurse Association or the church
