1917 - 2017

Marian was born in Colorado Springs, CO to Clippenger & Blanche Fry. She was known throughout her life as Bobby. The family moved to South Bend, IN in 1924 where her father opened a Ford dealership. She graduated from South Central High School in 1935 and decided on a career in nursing earning her RN degree from University of Indianapolis Methodist Hospital in 1939. Bobby enlisted in the Army in 1942 and served with the 32nd General Hospital in England, France, Belgium, & Germany. The 32nd landed on Omaha Beach a few weeks after the invasion. Bobby met Capt Francis Ohmer while on leave to Paris in 1945. They married 3/24/46 & made their home in the Chicago area where both daughters were born. The family moved to Colorado in 1950. Bobby & Fran enjoyed riding the Highline Canal Trail on their tandem bicycle, snowmobiling & square dancing. They took many road trips across the US including Alaska. Bobby enjoyed playing cards, knitting & reading. Bobby was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Kenneth & Philbert Fry & Pauline Fenn. She is survived by daughters Jane (Robert) Barth & Dorothy Holladay (Gary Peterson); grandchildren Christopher Barth (Bonnie Harkins), Barbara (Stanley) Foster, Jessica (Robert) Church, & Conor Holladay; great-grandchildren Tyler Barth, Cody, Sloan, Amanda, & Wyatt Foster, Alexis & Canaan Church, & John Holladay. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral on 11/13/17 at 11:30am at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S Quebec, Centennial. Burial following at Olinger Chapel Hill, reception afterward. Memorial donations to Wounded Warriors Project, Denver Zoo, CO Public Television, or charity of your choice.
