MISHAWAKA - Lawrence L. Williamson, 76, of Mishawaka, died Thursday, November 30, 2017. The Chicago native was born June 11, 1941 to Harley O. “Pete” & Mildred (Ozment) Williamson. Larry graduated from South Bend Central High School with the Class of ‘58 and attended IUSB and the College of Commerce in South Bend. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era, and spent time stationed in England. On February 23, 1968, Larry married Lottie B. (Smith) Williamson, who survives after 49 years of marriage. He retired in 2006 as a Senior Programmer Analyst at DePuy Orthopaedics in Warsaw. Larry was a Chicago Bears and Notre Dame fan; he enjoyed his family, playing golf and traveling, especially recent trips to London, Scotland, and Navarre Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-son, Michael Murray.

In addition to his wife Lottie, Larry is also survived by his daughter, Diana Williamson of Mishawaka; son, Steve (Candy) Butler of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Olivia Williamson of Mishawaka, Adam Butler of South Bend, Kenneth “Jake” Butler of Denver, CO and brother, Richard (Sue) Williamson of Warsaw. Funeral Services 2:00 Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., where friends may call from 1-2 pm Wednesday. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., #1700, Chicago, IL 60601.
