Felix graduated in 1959 from South Bend Central High School where he was a member of the Monogram Club, a varsity baseball team, and a homeroom officer. Additionally, he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University South Bend.  Felix was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren and they were blessed to enjoy cruise vacations with him to the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, and most recently the Mediterranean.  The grandchildren always enjoyed hearing his stories, talking sports, and trying to sneak pictures of him when he’d fall asleep in a chair after a long vacation day.

Felix loved sports, especially baseball, and was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers baseball fan and relished each of their six World Series championships and was thrilled when the Cubs won the World Series in 2015. He was a huge Indiana University basketball fan and obsessive about Notre Dame and Indiana University women’s basketball.  In addition, he always cheered on Notre Dame Football and was proud to serve for many years as an usher on game days.  He loved watching anything his grandchildren were involved in from sports, to dance, to orchestra recitals, he was always proud of their accomplishments.

Felix was frugal in many ways and a man of few words but he was incredibly generous in his heart.  He will be deeply missed.
