Stephen McGregor

Feb. 8, 1941 - Dec. 15, 2005

Stephen McGregor, 64, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2005, in Hospice House, following an illness. He was born on February 8, 1941, to the late Stephen and Alice (Buczkowski) McGregor in Columbus, OH, and had lived his whole life in South Bend.

Mr. McGregor retired in 2003, as an accountant, from Hansel Center, after 15 years of employment.

On September 13, 1969, he married Sandra L. Maier at St. Augustine Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. She survives. Along with his loving wife, of 36 years, he is survived by one brother, Michael (wife, Madelaine) McGregor of Belmont, Ml; two sisters-in-law, Joan Young of Elkhart, IN, Alice (husband, Steven) Poseley of Elkhart, IN; three nieces, Melissa (husband, Michael) Healy of Greenville, Ml, Natalie Rose of Elkhart, IN, Jenny (husband, William) Nash of Mishawaka, IN; and two nephews, Michael (wife, Gayle) McGregor of West Bloomfield, Ml; and Nick Young of California.

Mr. McGregor was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was very active. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and a 1966 graduate from Indiana University.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2005, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Cremation will follow. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2005, in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 51900 N. Mayflower Road, South Bend, IN 46628.
