Norma Jean (McCauley) Halliburton

Norma Jean Halliburton, 67, of 204 N. Pagin Street, South Bend, Ind., expired at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Her death followed a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of South Bend.
Norma was born on Nov. 27, 1930, in South Bend, to the union of Vine and Lucille (Cunningham) McCauley. Both parents and her husband, Earl Halliburton, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death a sister, Dorothy Singer.
Norma attended Linden Elementary School, Central Junior High School, and she graduated from Central Senior High School.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Donna) Halliburton of Indianapolis, Ind., and Randall Halliburton of Chicago, Ill.; two stepsons, Earl Halliburton Phoenix, Ariz., and Gilbert Halliburton of Baltimore, Md.; nine grandchildren, Richard Jr., Lakesha, Garbielle, Dominique, Chantle, Nick, Nate, Tarrick LaTresase; one great-grandchild, Tarrick, Jr.; one brother, Harold (Anna) McCauley of South Bend; two sisters, Bessie Allen and Ruth Beasley, both of Oakland, Calif.; a special niece, Bonnie Price of Southfield, Mich.; two nephews, Cleveland Price of Southfield Derek McCauley of Indianapolis; and by a host of other relatives and friends. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Robert Singer, Sr.; and by a very dear friend, Ruth Jackson.
She was employed at South Bend Memorial Hospital for 40 years until she retired in 1993.
She was a lifelong member of Grace A.M.E. Zion Church where she served on the Usher Board. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, one hour prior to 11 a.m. services at Grace A.M.E. Zion Church.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Clark Funeral Chapel.
