Marie K. (Lobaugh) Hodgson

Marie K. Hodgson, 74, of Rebecca Lane, Niles, Mich., died at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in her son's home following an extended illness. Mrs. Hodgson was born Feb. 28, 1931, in South Bend, Ind., to Fred Hamilton and Sophia Emilie (Wolf) Lobaugh.

She had lived most of her life in this area. Marie retired in 1989 after 20 years of service from Underwriters Adjusting Company in South Bend. Mrs. Hodgson was a member of the Insurance Women's Association. She enjoyed selling many of the ceramics and crafts that she made at the North Village Mall.

Marie also enjoyed making wedding cakes and many other tasty things, walking, clogging and camping. On Dec. 31, 1950, in South Bend, she married Cecil P. Hodgson, who survives. She is also survived by their two sons, Terry Hodgson of Niles and David Hodgson of Rochester Hills, Michigan; a daughter, Christine Infall of South Bend; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Pauline Terrill of Lake Placid, Fla.

Mrs. Hodgson was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Kenneth Lobaugh.

The funeral services for Marie K. Hodgson will be held at 3 p.m. today, Oct. 1 1 , in the Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, with Mr. Ronald Hodgson of Mishawaka, Ind., officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Home.
