Mary Kathleen (Borsodi) Mitchell

Mary K. Mitchell, 82, residing in Mishawaka, passed away at 4:45 am Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend.

She was born in South Bend on February 9, 1930 to the late John and Mary Barsodi [sic], and remained a lifelong area resident.

Mary married Robert Mitchell, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1973. She was the secretary in the Communication and Theatre Department in Washington Hall at the University of Notre Dame for over 15 years, before retiring in 2002.

Mary is survived by her son, Robert M. (Danette) Mitchell of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Cindy, Richard and Nicole Mitchell; one sister, Alice Hayes of South Bend; and two brothers, Bill Barsodi of Glen Ellyn, IL and Bob Barsodi of Mishawaka; She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Lochmandy; and a brother, James Barsodi.
