Margaret Jean Banks, known to all as Margaret, was born on October 7, 1950, in Keiser, Arkansas, and passed away on January 9, 2025, in South Bend, Indiana, where she had made her home. Margaret, a vibrant spirit with a bright smile, was a beacon of resilience, compassion, and enduring grace. To quote the renowned author Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Margaret lived by these words, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Margaret's passion for human connection led her to a fulfilling career as a Field Consultant for Avon. With an innate ability to inspire and uplift, she empowered countless women to discover their potential and embrace their beauty. Her work was not just a job, but a testament to her belief in the power of self-confidence and the magic of a friendly smile. 

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert Banks, her parents, Claude and Mildred Anderson; sisters, Betty Ann and Carolyn Elaine Anderson; brothers, Claude "Buck" Anderson III and Larry Alvin Anderson affectionately known as Bro. O.

She is survived by two sisters; Barbara Nell Anderson, Lana Renee (Dana) Price; three brothers: Bro. Ray Anderson, Bruce Edward Anderson and Bro. Michael Anderson; brother-in-law, Ron (Flossie) Banks, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate Margaret's remarkable life will be held at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601, on Friday, January 17th, 2025, at 11:00 am EST.
