Ronnie E. "Mojo" Coleman

June 4, 1952 ~ January 17, 2024 (age 71)

Ronnie Eugene "Mojo" Coleman departed this life on January 17, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on June 4, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the union of Geraldine (Moore) Johnson and Joe Coleman, Sr. who preceded him in death. At an early age, he moved to South Bend, Indiana and attended SBCSC schools, graduating from Central High School in 1970.

After leaving school, he joined the Army National Guard on Feb 8, 1990. He travelled to Germany and different countries and was Honorably Discharged from the Army.

Ronnie worked as an Over the Road Truck Driver for over 30 years. After retirement, he continued to drive and transport people to various locations. He loved travelling, meeting people, and socializing with all people. He was a free-hearted, fun-loving person and full of life. He will be remembered for his smile and laughter. He will be sorely missed.

Ronnie was a very avid sports fan and especially a loyal fan of the Notre Dame girls' basketball team. He loved table tennis and always claimed to be the best. He enjoyed playing cards and board games. He always talked of his all-girls softball team that he coached and was proud of in 1972. He loved old vintage cars and knew every one of them. He enjoyed talking to everyone.

Ronnie established a bond with members of the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Barry Spencer and he enjoyed fellowship with the congregation.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his life partner, Linda McDougal; his three children, Ronald D. (Tamarra) Coleman, Indianapolis, Brandon Coleman and Latonya Carter, both of CA; his seven grandchildren, Ronald Coleman III, JaRon Coleman, Bellamy Milan Coleman, Saraia Driver, Justina Strong, Brandon Michael Carter, Brooklyn -Monroe Carter and 1 great granddaughter, Rylee Coleman, his two brothers, Robert "Bubba" Johnson, David Johnson and sister Maxine Crawford along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and special lifelong friends that will truly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Johnson, father, Joe Coleman Sr., siblings; Joe Coleman, Cheryl (Adkins) Rivera, Donna Johnson, Bobby McCain and Gwen Johnson.
