SOUTH BEND - Florence A. Demske, 103, of Rossville, IN, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016 in Millner Community Retirement Center. Florence had also resided in South Bend. She had been a resident at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's. Florence moved to Rossville to live near her daughter. She was born on February 24, 1913 in South Bend, IN to Waldyslaw and Anatasia (Sosnoski) Wrobleski.

On May 25, 1935, as Florence A. Wrobleski, she married Harry L. Demske, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine “Jerry” Williams and two brothers, Norbert and Joseph Wrobleski. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen A. (Kent) Need of Frankfort, IN; her two sons, David L. (Emily) Demske of Columbia, MD and Ronald D. Demske and his partner, Karen Rodgers of Auburn, CA; five grandchildren: Kerry (Jan) Need and their children, Emma, Ethan, Elaine and Elliot Need; Kyle (Anissa) Need and their children, Maddison and Josephine Need; Amiee' (Eric) Johnson and their children, Graham and Layla Johnson; Elizabeth (Tom) Fendyan and their children, Madeleine, Gabriella and Caitlyn Fendyan; and Jonathan (Emily) Lachance and their children, Cecelia and Emanuel Lachance; and a sister-in-law, Yolanda Wrobleski of Peoria, IL.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Florence was employed by the University of Notre Dame in the Athletic Ticket Office for several years and also worked for Sears Credit Department. She attended St. Hedwig Elementary School and graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1931. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and their Altar and Rosary Society.
