Jack A. Schuck

June 7, 1934 - July 7, 2018

NILES - Jack A. Schuck, 84, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Jack was born on June 7, 1934, to the late Jacob and Marjorie A. (Mulliken) Schuck. After his mother passed at an early age, his father married Mary Wesco, who then became his mother.

He graduated from South Bend Central High School class of 1953. On October 4, 1957, he wed Dorothy Howard at a ceremony in South Bend and to that union two sons were born.

Jack began his career as a skilled draftsman and then opened his own business as a residential builder. He retired from AM General building military trucks.

Jack was a member of the Church of Christ serving as an elder and class teacher for many years. He was a devoted Christian, beginning his day reading the Bible with a cup of coffee.

His love of woodworking inspired him to create beautiful furniture for his family, especially his grandchildren. His meticulous attention to detail was second to none.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother; his wife, Dorothy; and sisters, Virginia Dinneen and Theresa Anderson.

Jack is survived by his children, Daniel H. (Pamela) Schuck of Niles and David (Cristina) Schuck of Clay City, Indiana; and four grandchildren, Nicolas, Christopher, Patrick, and Madeline.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to the Children's Home Inc. located at 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould, Arkansas 72450.

Visiting with family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home, 521 East Main Street, Niles. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
