Sally Jane (Lowery) Poindexter

Services for Sally Jane Poindexter, 54, of 1310 W. Brookfield St., who died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in I Memorial Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Alford's Mortuary.

Mrs. Poindexter was a secretary for Swank's Cleaners.

She was born Oct. 29, 1933, in Macon, Miss., and had lived in South Bend for 47 years.

On Sept. 25, 1954, in South Bend, she married William Poindexter, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Alfred Poindexter, Gary E. Poindexter, John A. Poindexter and Da Lon L. Fowler, all of South Bend; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Beatrice Taylor and Agusta Page, both of South Bend; and Mattie Simmons and Rena Fowler, both of Queens, N.Y.; and a brother, Wallace Lowery of Gary
