Francis Kenneth "Ken" Dempsey Jr., age 87.

Beloved husband of the late Bernadette, nee Fiedler. Loving father of Mary (Steven) Galligan, Michael (Traci), John (Debbi) and Thomas (Heidi) Dempsey. Cherished grandfather of Patrick (Sarah), Brian, Erin (John), Megan (Justin), Alyssa, Shannon, Griffin, Emily, Kevin, and the late Matthew. Dear brother of Sheila Emge, Denny (Cathy), Susan (John) Donahue, Pat (Jerry) Kinyon and the late Mary Ellen (the late Jerry) Kettlekamp. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ken was born and raised in South Bend, IN. He resided in the Chicagoland area throughout his adult life. Since his wife's passing, Ken was proudly involved with the community, focusing on tutoring those in the area elementary and middle schools. He will be missed.

Visitation Thursday, September 2, 9AM to 11AM, Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E Northwest Highway, Palatine. Funeral Mass at 12Noon, St. James Church, 820 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Interment private at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
