![]() Michael T. Funston Michael T. Funston, 34, of 2029 S. Taylor, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was a silk screen press operator. Born on March 23, 1949, in South Bend, he was a lifelong area resident. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas (Martha) Funston of South Bend; a daughter Marie of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Jon (Debra A.) Shaffer of South Bend and Mrs. Stephen (Patti) Brooks of Granger; a brother, James F. of South Bend, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Clara L. Funston of South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served as a radioman in the Navy.
