Harriet (Blume) King

June 29, 1930 - Nov. 20, 2015 OSCEOLA - Harriet E. King, 85, of Osceola, died on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 8:45 PM at the Center for Hospice Elkhart Hospice House. Ms. King was born on June 29, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Harry and Elizabeth (Duncan) Blume. She retired from CTS Corporation in Elkhart after several years of service, then went on to work for Hooks Drug Store, Martins and Sam's Club; and she was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in South Bend. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in- law, Bruce King of Midland, Texas, Dennis and Kimberly King of Middlebury and Robert King of Osceola; five grandchildren, Matthew King, Samantha King, Andrew King, Patrick King and Marc Miniger; and four great- grandchildren, Rileigh, Brooklyn, Carter and Phoenix. Also surviving is a step brother, Ernest (Bonnie) Miller Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepmother, Alice Miller Blume, one sister, Flora Kristensen and one step sister, Jackie Polman. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Osceola United Methodist Church. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate the service. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the memorial service at the church. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to the Osceola United Methodist Church.
