Thomas A. Nelson, 83, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born on August 17, 1942 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Ralph and Bayril (Hare) Nelson. He graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1960. On March 21, 1964 he married Carol Niver who preceded him in death on March 17, 2024. Tom was also preceded in death by his brother, Dick Nelson. He is survived by one son, Steve Nelson of South Bend, Indiana, one grandson, Thomas Nelson and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Tom will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr. South Bend, IN from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm in the funeral home.
