Robert John Rozewicz

Robert John Rozewicz, of South Bend, passed away at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 9:25 p.m. at the age of 82. He was born on June 6, 1939, in South Bend to the late John and Irene (Mrozinski) Rozewicz and remained a lifelong resident. He was the oldest of 3 children, growing up in South Bend with his two sisters, Sharon Rozewicz Clover (David) of Del Ray Beach, FL., and Lori Rozewicz (Beth) of Mishawaka, IN.

Bob graduated from Central High School. Robert worked for South Bend Freight for 21 years and then went on to work as the head of expediting at Patterson Dental where he retired after 15 years of service.

On September 5, 1959, in South Bend, Robert was united in marriage to Jayne Lukens who survives. Together they raised two children; son, Randy Rozewicz of Fort Wayne, IN and his 2 children, Erin Rozewicz of Seattle, WA and Ryan Rozewicz (Kate) of Fort Wayne, IN., and daughter, Tamara Rozewicz Fox (Paul) of Granger, IN who has 3 children, Jerica Anderson of Mishawaka, IN, Ryan DuJardin (Erica) of Pooler, GA and Christopher DuJardin (Corey) of Osceola, IN. Along with 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.

Bob enjoyed panting pictures, spending time making flower arrangements and landscaping in his yard. Robert’s great joy came from spending time with his wife and family and watching the beautiful life they created grow.

Funeral services for Robert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial and graveside service will follow at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
