ROBERT D. JONES

Robert Doyle Jones Nov. 26, 1939 - May 26, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Bob Jones passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014, surrounded by family at Stanford Hospital in California.

Bob attended South Bend Central High.

He earned a B.S. in engineering from Purdue University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Bob was an officer in the U.S. Navy.

He married Florence Jones in 1964. In 1984, Bob was one of the founders of Celeritek. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence, son, Scott, daughter, Leslie, sister, Gayle Gartee, brother-in-law, Wally Gar-tee, niece, Shari Haller, & niece, Michelle Van Goey.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 4, at 2 pm at Saratoga Federated Church in California. A reception at the Jones' home will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
