Lawrence R. Freel Sr.

SOUTH BEND Lawrence R. Freel Sr., 52, of 18341 Bulla Road, died at 5:35 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Freel was employed as a shipping and receiving clerk for Steel Warehouse.

He was born June 29, 1939, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 2, 1966, in South Bend, he married Yvonne M. Paul. She survives with two daughters, Rebecca and Sarah, both at home; and two sons, Lawrence Jr. and Theodore, both at home; his parents, Rosa and Linden Freel of South Bend; and five brothers, Linden of Niles, Stephen, Robert, Richard, and Eric, all of South Bend.

He was a veteran of the Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Heart Association.
