South Bend-William John Murrmann, 71, passed away on Thursday, January 21 at St. Paul’s Retirement Community in South Bend. 
William was born on October 22, 1944, in South Bend to John and Loretta (Chayie) Murrmann. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Anne Stanek. 
On April 18, 1986, in South Bend he married the former Nancy Crofoot. Surviving are his loving wife, Nancy; son, William “Bill” Monti (Jennifer) Murrmann of Mishawaka; daughter, Lori Murrmann of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Melony Murrmann, Hilary (Maxwell) Nicodemus and Noah Murrmann; a great grandson, Parker Nicodemus; two sisters, Beverly Cannoot of South Bend and Barbara Jewell of South Bend and several nieces and nephews. 
William worked for Indiana Bell, Ameritech and AT&T as a Cable Service Technician, Ornamental Grass Company and Candle Collections in Mishawaka. He was a member of the Michiana Male Chorus, on the Board of Directors for Bremen Senior Living and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. 
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Rev. Scott Bowie of St. Peters United Church of Christ will officiate.
