JORDAN E. FRANKIEWICZ

Jordan Edward Frankiewicz, 76, of South Bend, Indiana, died peacefully at 4:32 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022.

Jordan was born on April 8, 1946 to the late Edward and Virginia (Jamrozy) Frankiewicz in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. He attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1964. He graduated from the College of Commerce in South Bend where he earned his Associates Degree. Jordan worked for Sollitt Construction Company after graduation, then went on to work at Preston Trucking Company and eventually became an Office Clerk at the Teamsters Local 364, retiring in 2010. He was a member of St. Pius X church and the American Legion.

On October 21, 1967, he married Nancy Green at St. Patrick Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Frankiewicz; two sons, Matt (Jonelle) Frankiewicz; Eric (Tonya) Frankiewicz; and eight grandchildren, James, Erik, Nick, Jake, Lilly, Sylvia, Emma and Ella. He had many close friends, neighbors and family that he deemed his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was a warm and loving person - always quick with a joke or a funny story. Jordan was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle who cared deeply for his family and enjoyed having them over.

Jordan loved fishing and was an avid sports fan. He was a lifelong Notre Dame football and basketball fan. Jordan always watched his Hoosiers and of course the Chicago Bears. March Madness was always his "favorite time of the year". He loved doing the word scramblers in the South Bend Tribune and always watched the Price is Right while eating his breakfast. Jordan and Nancy would loyally watch the "Wheel" and Jeopardy every evening after dinner.

A gathering and Celebration of Life Service will take place from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Teamsters Local 364, 2405 Edison Road, South Bend, IN 46615. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, IN at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601.
