Beverly Kay (Rozek) Hanyzewski

Beverly Hanyzewski, 80, of South Bend, IN., passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025. Bev was born on May 7, 1944, in South Bend to the late Steve and Victoria Rozek. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Rybicki and Judy Toth, and one brother, Steve Rozek, Jr. Beverly is survived by her sister, Vicke (Dale) Gerbasich.

Beverly was a graduate of South Bend Central High School in 1963. On October 26, 1963, she married Dennis Hanyzewski. They were married for 61 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Jill Hanyzewski and her husband, Mark Dull, along with her grandson, Brandon Hanusin.

Bev enjoyed cooking, baking, especially cookies including her famous Kifli cookies at Christmas, creating DYI crafts and floral arrangements. She loved to spend time with her family attending summer festivals and watching her husband pitch horseshoes in tournaments.

Memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2822 Corpus Christi Dr., South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the services. Beverly will be laid to rest privately at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
