Oscar Washington Sr., 61, of North Huey Street passed away at 3:55 a.m. Saturday morning, Nov. 15, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Ind.

Mr. Washington was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Mississippi to the union of Oscar and Josephine Rice, who preceded him in death.

Oscar moved to South Bend, in 1952 with his parents, where he attended South Bend Community Schools. He was a graduate of Central High School. He was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Charles G. Rowlett.

Those left to cherish his memory are Mrs. Rhonda L. Neal-Washington; two sons, Oscar Washington Jr. of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Tommy Washington of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter Ter'Sa Washington of South Bend; a godson, Anthony Ward of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Octavia Washington, Christopher Washington, JaBrza Washington, Jayda Washington, Ter'Sa Washington of South Bend, Mykaila Washington of Texas and Osciana Washington of Fort Wayne; a special friend, Gussie Williams; and many nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.

Friends may call today, Nov. 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 21, at noon in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, Inc., 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Ind.

Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
