Greer Dewitt Walker

September 24, 1943 ~ May 23, 2022 (age 78)

Greer Dewitt Walker, 78, of South Bend, IN passed away on Monday May 23, 2022 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Greer was born on September 24, 1943 in Monroe, Louisiana to Spearman and Alice (Munn) Walker. 

Greer met and married the love of his life, Cynthia (Hayes) Walker, on November 28, 1970 in South Bend, Indiana.  Cynthia preceded him. 

Greer is survived by his sons, Andre (Tara) Walker of Indianapolis, IN, and Mark (Debra) Walker of Indianapolis, IN.  Greer is also survived by grandchildren, Shaelyn Walker and Tia Walker, and Great Grandson, Ah’mari Danzy. 

Also surviving are sisters, Sharon Walker of Los Angeles, and Lovell (Bill) Brown of Houston, TX as well as brother, Gilbert (Barbara) Walker of Indianapolis.

Greer proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966.

In keeping with his requests, no services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
