Woodrow B McDonald Jr, 78, of  Sacramento, CA passed away Tuesday August 16, 2022.

Woodrow was born in Chicago IL on August 4, 1944 to Woodrow and Jessie (Newborne) McDonald Sr who both preceded him in death along with one sister, Brenda Gary and two brothers Dr. Eugene  McDonald and Jerome McDonald.

Woodrow graduated from Purdue University in 1968 with a bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a minor in Spanish. He was united in holy matrimony to Dolly Anderson on November 3, 1973 in South Bend IN. Mr. McDonald was retired at the time of his death.  During his career he worked in both hospital and retail Pharmacy.  

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 48 years Dolly McDonald of Sacramento CA,  three daughters Angela (Eugene) McDonald-Fisher of Solon OH, Dana (Kenneth) Musapatika of Carmel IN and Cheryce (Bryan) Williams of Plumas Lake  CA, one son Woodrow McDonald III of Sacramento CA, six grandchildren, three sisters Cassandra (Raymond) Frazier of Plainfield IL, Paula McDonald of Round Lake IL and Gail (Karon) Kirkland of South Bend IN, one brother Dr. Paul (Gayle) McDonald of Los Angeles CA along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Services honoring the life, love, labor, and legacy for Mr. Mcdonald will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022 1 p.m at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church 101 N. Adams Street, South Bend, Indiana 46628. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m until 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Arrangements have been lovingly entrusted with Alford’s Mortuary Inc.
