SOUTH BEND - Jean E. Kellogg, 63, of South Bend, IN died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, in her home. She was born on November 6, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA to her birth parents, Earl William and Marion Louise Gay and then in 1945 she was adopted by John and Mildred (Smith) Lauder.
On January 15, 1987, in First Presbyterian Church, South Bend, IN she married Thomas G. Kellogg, who survives. Along with her husband, Thomas G. Kellogg she is survived by three stepdaughters, Mildred Kellogg, Suzanne Cassel and Thersa Miller. Her daughter, Rebecca Lynn Klaffke preceded her in death in 1987.
Jean graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1962 and attended Purdue University, Indiana University South Bend and South Bend College of Commerce. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, South Bend of which she was a deacon, and former Sunday School Teacher.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 11, in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 333 W. Colfax, South Bend, 46601. Rev. David Morrow, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend.
